The International Airport of Chetumal attended 32,486 national and international passengers in the month of April, a record-breaking number for this month, seven thousand 322 more than the same period last year when they registered 25 thousand 164.
The highest amount of passenger load of the 19 stations operated by Airports and Auxiliary Services (ASA) in the country was also handled, with a total of 146,373 kilograms, while that of Puebla barely had 54,651 kilograms.
According to the most recent statistics of ASA, it has been the highest number of domestic and foreign passengers served in April of recent years; in 2017 they were 22 thousand 815; a year earlier, 15 thousand 873; and in 2015, it was 14 thousand 293.
Last month, 32 thousand 420 national passengers and 66 international passengers were counted.
It was the highest figure in the first four months of the year and represents an increase of 29.09%, compared to the same number of domestic and foreign passengers served in April 2018.
