Buenavista, municipality of Bacalar, November 23, 2020, Radiografía Quintana Roo – With an investment of 19 million 548 thousand 350 pesos, they will build a hotel of cabins on the shores of the Seven Colors Lagoon in the community of Buenavista.
The promoters of the Hotel Amaité Bacalar requested the Secretary of the Environment and Natural Resources (Semarnat) to change the use of 2,657.11 square meters of land, that is, 0.265711 hectares, which corresponds to two plots of land that total 9,885. 63 square meters, the change of land use also contemplates for an area of 211.58 square meters corresponding to the federal zone and it is intended to occupy 405.47 square meters within the Lagoon of Bacalar, totaling 3 thousand 274.16 square meters of work.
The project will be made up of six rectangular-shaped rustic cabins, four sun terraces raised on stilts, and five more in the lagoon area, a restaurant, a service module, four-deck platforms, reception, administration, and two parking lots. It will also have four 8-meter high landscape observation towers raised on four wooden columns with a square cross section of 25 by 25 centimeters at a height of 2.43 meters each. Each one of the towers will have a 25 square meter planting area.
Additionally, a network of walkways in the jungle and on the Bacalar Lagoon is considered for access to the different hotel facilities.
