The magical town of Bacalar It is one of three found in the Mexican Caribbean beside Women Island Y Tulumhowever, it will be the first to be embellished with the “Magic Routes of Color” program, of the Secretary of Tourism of Mexico.
“This afternoon we will launch Magic Color Routes in Bacalar Quintana Roo. In collaboration with Comex paintings and the Corazón Urbano Ac foundation, we will paint the facades of the first painting in the municipality, the main tourist spot of the Magical Town that flows into the Laguna de los Siete Colores”, said Miguel Torruco Marqués, Secretary of Tourism.
With vibrant colors they will paint the Caribbean-style facades that predominate in the tourist destination, which this year expects to receive more than 30 thousand people in the summer period.
“We will start with the intervention of 140 facades, equivalent to 11 thousand square meters and 20 murals with an area of 600 square meters. Thus, through art and painting, we will improve homes and public spaces in this Magical Town”, commented Torruco Marqués.
So far in 2022, eleven Magical Towns have joined the national Magical Color Routes strategy, work that we carry out with Pinturas Comex and Corazón Urbano Ac, to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of these communities and for the benefit of their visitors.
Bacalar is one of the 10 Magic towns most visited of the 132 that there are today, and together with Tulum and Isla Mujeres, they offer travelers in Quintana Roo a different experience, this is called tourist diversification and it is the state that has best taken advantage of its resources and culture.
